Little Creatures

Bunnies, Squirrels and Birds getting a taste of the nuts and goodies left them before the rain and snow.
Sad to think they are ignored, and people don’t stop to look at them and share their wonder.
That wonder has never left me.
So Facebook is not as entertaining, and some chats are beyond boring.
Visiting a zoo in the Winter months and any time of year is still a joy.
They are the pets I can’t have at home due to a loved one’s severe allergies
A Hypoallergenic dog came to visit and we learned the hard way that we can’t have dogs around or go to homes with them
Dog charities are my way of having a pet
All Little and Big Creatures I will always love you and visit

Tired of being awakened by what used to be
Past hasn’t always been a friend
Still trying to learn how to put it way behind me
Hopefully moving forward
Stand tall and enlighten the world
When your mind awakens your heart and soul in the wee hours of the morning
The two steps back and one step forward isnt a recipe for everybody
Changing the game and making a difference
Illuminate every moment
Now and forever
Play a more positive and active role for a reflective you

We will never forget
We hear stories and remembrances
People witnessing horrific moments and people jumping from windows
No matter where you live you were affected
Someday there will be a National Day of Remembrance so we never forget and remind those who were not born yet what happened
Until then, the tears flow and we remember
Excelsior!

Blue Jays Munching On A Stormy Day

It’s raining.
It’s boring.
Yet the Blue Jay with their hawk-like- like sound
Swooped down from a high branch to take a freshly roasted shelled nut
Thirty seconds later another appeared and grabbed another nut.
Their crests and colors of blue, white, and black were visible in the rain.
Not a bad way to walk on a Holy day where fasting and no driving happen once a year
Before you utter a sound the computer and other modern-day conveniences are essential to my well-being such as walking
So thanks Blue Jays for making this Yom Kippur easier

The marble-colored French bulldog is always happy to see me on my walks.
He comes running to me.
The pat on the head from me and the kiss from the dog for me.
Daddy, is it you?
In spirit.
I miss you and love you.
I know that you know that.

Sweetness personified
Funny and charming
Those blue eyes, still send me to another solar system
You put the k kindness and the C in Caring
Extremely smart and you listen attentively.
A shoulder to cuddle and dream upon
Loving you is easy since I have been loving you for so very long
And You love me too!

For dogs who wait forever for a loving family and home
No matter their handicap or situation
They want love and want to return it
If you are lucky enough to have a pet in your life
If you give your time, money, and effort to an animal charity

Walking with Henry David

He reminded me of my visit to Walden Pond and how I tore my heel because I didn’t own hiking boots.
Since corrected.
I touched his desk in disbelief
My thoughts on the Civil Disobedience book and how I much prefer Walden
We stopped as the ducks sat on a log in the pond and waited until the Goose march ended with the geese taking flight
Thinking he is one of my muses and I am grateful
He lived long ago but never far away

Pups eats Meatloaf

He seems to know when it is being prepared by the aroma.
The human guy enjoys it and he waits for a slice or two
that he will share
His human mom hates meatloaf and doesn’t tell her it’s a hamburger because it is not.
For her husband and Pups, she will acquiesce.
Now and then
Pups eat meatloaf.

The woman is a blessing
The forever kind
Changed lives and lived every day as an inspiration to us all
A Storybook Love and Life
To Honor she isn’t enough
She would not want that anyway
Your politics and ideas don’t matter here
What she accomplished still grows and helps many
What matters is that we say farewell to this amazing human being
We should strive to be as kind and incredible as she was
To say the mold was broken is not enough but she was so much more than enough
She more than cared she did something with it and about it
